We believe that every dog deserves access to high quality grooming rooted in respect, patience, and professional expertise. Located in Springvale, our salon operates strictly by appointment only, ensuring we dedicate our full, undivided focus to just one dog per staff member at a time.
Our philosophy is built on a simple foundation: Luxury Grooming for the Deserving Dog. To us, true luxury means prioritising safety and emotional well-being within a structured, professional environment. Because we refuse to compromise the safety of the dogs in our care or our team, we do not offer rushed appointments.

A Unified Standard of Care
Every member of the Elle Grooms team is personally trained to meet our exact styling benchmarks and behavioural philosophies. We integrate a deep understanding of canine behaviour into our work, with a long term focus on longevity. For dogs requiring regular grooming, our goal is to build trust so they can comfortably tolerate their sessions for the rest of their lives.
Alongside a wonderful team of grooming assistants, Elle's specific area of expertise lies in working dogs, double coated breeds, and German Shepherds. As a German Shepherd owner herself, she understands the unique drive, double coat mechanics, and specific handling needs required to keep these powerful dogs thriving and comfortable.

Beyond standard styling, specialised behavioural services are available directly with our salon owner, including standalone behavioural nail trims.
To set our team and your dog up for long term success, we have introduced a dedicated Meet & Greet package for all new clients. This introductory session includes a baseline nail and paw pad trim, allowing your dog 15 to 20 minutes to decompress, sniff, and get to know us before we ever ask them to handle a full grooming session. Introducing a dog to a new environment can be stressful; we refuse to force them through it in a short amount of time.

We operate a crate free environment designed to minimise stress and down time. By precisely timing our appointments, your dog is groomed continuously from start to finish. While spacious waiting pens are available if needed, our system is designed so that when the appointment ends, it is collar on and time to show off on the way home.

While the universal industry recommendation for a dog needing a haircut is a 6 week cycle, many dogs benefit from a 4 week routine to ensure they stay happy, comfortable, and matt free, and others might be ok to stretch to 7-8 weeks under the right curcimstances.
We work closely with you to recommend an ideal schedule based on the style you want, your at home coat care routine, your dog's lifestyle and behaviour, and your personal budget.
Because we treat grooming as a partnership, our precise slots are optimised for dogs on a regular schedule whose coats are maintained at home. This structure ensures every dog receives the highest standard of dedicated care without compromise.

Most of you know me as Elle (El).
Elle Grooms is the true culmination of my neurospicy brain and my uncompromising approach to animal well-being and behaviour. My deep love for animals started early. When I was 10, I began volunteering at my horse riding school, which eventually led to my first employment there managing the care of dozens of horses. During my gap year after finishing school, I took my first steps into the dog grooming industry.
Throughout my early years in the trade, I built extensive hands on experience across every facet of the grooming world. Working alongside my studies, I climbed the ranks from an advanced bather managing the floor and front of house, to a junior groomer running a salon solo and training staff, and eventually stepped into full Salon Manager and Senior Groomer roles.
After completing my Bachelor of Arts with an Extended Major in Writing and a minor in Journalism and Mass Communication, my path took me into the corporate world. There, I gained valuable experience across recruitment, sales administration, and business intelligence. Even while working in an office, I never truly stopped grooming, continuing to look after my own dog, horses, and friends' dogs.
Following a horse riding accident which resulted in a TBI, I needed to step away from staring at a screen for eight hours a day. In 2020, I chose to return full time to the familiarity and grounding nature of dog grooming.
That combination of corporate operational experience, a deep industry background, and my own neurodivergent perspective gives me a unique approach to my work. It has given me a natural aptitude for recognising behaviour patterns, understanding sensory triggers, and handling grooming trauma rehabilitation. I look at animal behaviour through both an analytical and deeply empathetic lens, allowing me to connect with dogs on a completely different level.
Today, my two beautiful horses are leased out, allowing me to focus my energy entirely on bettering my business and loving on my senior German Shepherd, Lance.
Backed by years of ongoing research and education, I am dedicated to ensuring my team and I provide the absolute highest standard of safety, behaviour management, and breed specific coat and skin care for every single pup that walks through our doors.
